Alaska during Covid
"
then if you had late seating or MyTime and went later you missed them - we missed all of them considering of this), limited capacity/turned away (if a venue was full - even if you had a reservation - you were turned away - this included "vaccinated only" venues for shows and trivia - not certain how this can or should happen due to limited chapters only all of the venues were always full), Pixels (if you did not have a seat in the get-go row or second level you could not encounter anything that was going on - we had to stand in the dorsum and could barely see anything and considering of this left early - others complained about this too), NorthStar non working (even though they were testing it during our cruise it never opened), non a lot of "tranquillity" spaces (went to Two70 a few times but they were commonly in rehearsal so definitely not placidity), no social distancing on elevators, at restaurants (our table was about 24" from the tabular array adjacent to us) except buffet or any other place in that location was a queue (they did, however, ask to run across your "vaccinated" wristband if the venue was for vaccinated only which was confusing to me because this cruise was an "only vaccinated" cruise with the exception of children 12 and nether).Due to lack of activities during the solar day (other than trivia) (which I am not sure was because of Covid or reduced chapters) I would not recommend this cruise to others (unless, of course, you similar sitting around doing nothing on sea days).

Somewhat disappointing
Review for Ovation of the Seas to Alaska
Food Unless you buy a drinkable plan, costless potable options are water or hot tea, and juices at a few places. Unless yous're going to have 2-3 cocktails (around $10-17 each) a day, the drink plan is a waste of money. The soda only (no booze) plan is around $9/day. Instead, bring a dozen sodas on board with you. When y'all're in Ketchikan, become to the drugstore (very close to the dock)

Good Prowl just Lost Luggage
Review for Ovation of the Seas to Alaska
Overall prowl was expert. Embarkation was the smoothest that we have experienced; information technology took only a few minutes. Inferior suite was spacious and cabin attendant was first-class. Dining was good. Had dinner in the master dining room most nights. Immediately later on boarding, fabricated reservations for the Coastal Kitchen for ii nights; when we showed upwardly somehow the reservation had been lost. We were

Review for Ovation of the Seas to Alaska
We are veteran cruisers just have previously been on only one other RCCL ship, the Haven of the Seas. About often we canvas Glory.Because of having earned Elite+ condition on Captain'southward Club we were fortunate to utilize Diamond level Crown & Anchor perks on this voyage. Like and then many others we had cruises cancelled due to COVID and nosotros were very eager to sheet again. My husband had never visited Alaska

Alaska in the autumn with good weather on a 30% full ship during Covid
Review for Ovation of the Seas to Alaska
Only got off a last minute Alaska prowl on Ovation of the Seas. It was fantastic. Only 1342 guests on a send that holds up to 4800. We got lucky with incredibly good weather for this time of year in Alaska. It was rainy and windy the weeks before and a big storm is coming in this next weekend. The gunkhole felt perfect for the number of guests. There were 1300 coiffure, just 200 less than when the

Review for Ovation of the Seas to Alaska
If you have read whatever of my previous reviews , y'all know my wife and I are senior citizens, budget cruisers and cruise to be on the ship and relax. Nosotros typically practise non care what ports the ship goes to since nosotros seldom become off, don't usually do excursions. We like to consume, relax, read and go to shows. That existence the example, the priorities for united states of america in reviewing a ship are nutrient, general ambience and decor of

Safe during covid on a great ship!
Review for Ovation of the Seas to Alaska
I traveled with over 70 people through Card Actor Cruises. Such a perfect grouping and wonderful fun trip. Food was improved over pre-covid cruises on RCCL, especially in the buffet where they now serve you lot and so no more easily on everything. Cabin was wonderful. Service was friendly but professional. Fast boarding and deviation. I wanted to dispute something in some other review, that ane

Ovation and Alaska The Perfect Trip!
Review for Ovation of the Seas to Alaska
The Ovation crew was ready for us and did a fantastic job the entire cruise. They were happy and ready to make our trip remarkable! The Ovation is a wonderful ship and the perfect 1 for an Alaskan cruise! With all the windows you can see everything! We spent a lot of fourth dimension in the Solarium which has windows from top to lesser so you don't miss annihilation! Nosotros enjoyed their breakfast on sea days

I cannot believe that Royal C requires an excursion to leave the transport!
Review for Ovation of the Seas to Alaska
Everything was great in terms of service, nutrient, fun on the ship. All the same, Royal C requires a purchased excursion in order to get off the transport. This is infringing my freedom to tour without joining a grouping, and information technology has nothing to practice with covid regulation. Service and Nutrient was great just like other cruises, merely the fact that we were non allowed to dock when the send docks REALLY IS a simulated

Alaska during Covid
Review for Ovation of the Seas to Alaska
This was just my 2nd RCCL cruise. I chose this ship because of the itinerary. This was the 3rd cruise out of Alaska for this ship since shutdown. Fortunately we had a 12 Apex embarkation fourth dimension. They had lines for bank check-in time then don't make it early or y'all will wait. Our line started moving at around 12:05 p.m. and we were onboard by one p.m. (nosotros did everything beforehand - bank check-in, photos,
